Today’s Generation
The urge to be loved is one of the most depressing urges—because it feels almost impossible to be genuinely loved in this generation.
Sometimes, I feel unlucky to be a part of Generation Z, because I don’t share most of its traits.
Honestly, I’m a little proud that I’m not a complete “Gen Z,” but at the same time, it often makes me feel left out—especially when people my age or younger jokingly call me an old man.
(It’s kinda funny, though.)
I don’t really mind being seen as one. At least it shows I’ve had more experiences—maybe not in number, but in depth.
What I truly don’t understand is the love in this generation.
How can someone fall in love with someone just through a few days of online chatting? Are you kidding me?
Love is a complex emotion. It takes time to develop, and even more time to understand.
But people today throw the word around so carelessly—falling in love every other day, like it’s a trend.
It feels like the meaning of love is being disrespected.
Some blame technology or movies, but I don’t think that’s the full story.
In the end, it all comes down to us—human beings.
The biggest problem with our generation is that we want to do everything at once.
We want to experience everything now.
But some things in life just aren’t meant to be rushed—because they’re not meant for any age. They’re meant for the right time.
What do you think is the biggest flaw in our generation?
